Put simply, I’m a tax nerd.
My first taste of doing taxes was when I was a Sophomore in college. As part of a class on taxes, we were required to volunteer for VITA (the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, more info in Helpful Tidbits). Once I started, I couldn’t get enough! I kept coming back year after year after year. I gained some notoriety for my tax knowledge and become a sought out resource first by friends, and later by colleagues.
But life took me in a few different direction: first to the Middle East, then to New Haven, CT, and then back to Boston where I currently work as a financial planner. My love for the complexities and nuances of tax law persisted. In 2020, I became an Enrolled Agent with the IRS (for more info on what this means, see What is an Enrolled Agent?). I decided it was time to open up my expertise to the larger community and start my own business.
No matter what I do, I am a teacher at heart. I am patient and am happy to explain concepts more than once! I look forward to helping you!
